Just putting out a final reminder that our first Volunteer Quarterly Safety Meeting of 2018 is being held on Saturday, February 17th at 7:00am at our main office located at 28059 W. Commercial Ave., Barrington, IL. At our previous volunteer quarterly safety meeting held in November 2017, we trained on the following: What is Fall Protection, Why IDI trains on Fall Protection, Fall Protection Injury & Fatality Statistics; and we completed the sections on guardrails, hole covers & personal fall arrest systems. We did not complete all the categories of the fall protection standard so at our next volunteer quarterly safety meeting on 2/17/18, we are going to pick up where we left off. We are going to complete the fall protection training and we will be training on warning lines, fall protection rescue planning and a few other important items. Falls from heights of 6’ or more to a lower level are the #1 killer in construction and #1 on the list for OSHA violations. We are providing this safety training because we care about you and your loved ones!
We will also be distributing the 2017 volunteer safety training incentives items that were ordered by the employees that participated in last year's incentive plan. In order for an employee to receive their safety incentive items at the 2/17/18 meeting, we need your tool inventory sheet from you no later than the end of the day today, 2/9/18. If you already turned yours in to your Superintendent, then you are good to go. If you don’t know what I am talking about, please contact your Superintendent and ask them what the tool inventory sheet is about.
We look forward to see you at the volunteer quarterly safety
meeting.
Have a Safe Day!
